The Mangosteen Resort is hands down one of the best hotels in Phuket. It's expensive, but well worth every penny. It's located on a secluded hilltop away from the busy overpopulated beach areas. I watched the sunrise from my room which was great. The rooms are very spacious and the bathrooms are incredible. The Jacuzzi villas are amazing with an outdoor shower and Jacuzzi. The service was outstanding. They arranged local tours, gave good advice on shopping and other areas of interest. Arranged a free ride to a local restaurant instead of calling a taxi. The pool area is great and very relaxing. The hotels restaurant is great and the breakfast buffet is amazing. The spa is probably one of the best in Phuket as well. A great place for a romantic getaway.
